Sassuolo announces that he has acquired from Como, with the loan formula until 30 June 2025, the sports performance of the footballer Luca Mazzitelli (centrocampista, 1995). Born in Rome, and raised in the youth of the club Giallorossi, he made his debut in Serie A in the last race of the 2013/2014 Genoa-Rome championship. In the following season he borrowed to Southtirol, in Lega Pro, where he collected 24 appearances and a goal. In the 2015/2016 season he borrows to Brescia where he is sided by owner, with great regularity, by Roberto Boscaglia. In February 2016 it was purchased by Sassuolo, the club Neroverde lent it on loan to the “Rondinelle” until the end of the season. In July of the same year, the Roman midfielder made his debut in blackgreen on the European stage, dropping into the Europa League match against Lucerne. For two seasons he dresses the Sassuolo jersey with 37 appearances and 1 goal. In July 2018 he borrowed from Genoa, in the shadow of the Lantern collects 10 appearances before returning to the base. The following season spends the first months in Sassuolo of De Zerbi, in the winter market it soon passes to Virtus Entella where it finds Boscaglia, technician who wanted it to Brescia a few years earlier.
In Serie B he played two seasons, a first part in Chiavari and then in Pisa, here he collected 34 appearances and 5 goals becoming an important pin of the black blues. In the 2021/2022 season the midfielder is finally purchased from Monza, playing the playoffs and conquering the Serie A at the end of a ride ended with the victory in the final against Pisa. In the summer of 2022 he was loaned to Frosinone, in Ciociaria he conquered another championship, this time with mister Grosso on the bench, and returns to Serie A with the yellowish wearing the captain’s belt in the season 2023/2024.
In the summer of 2024 Mazzitelli borrowed from Como, where he went down 11 times and scored his first net against Lazio on 31 October 2024. The midfielder returns to wear the blackgreen jersey and finds Grosso, a technician who trained him in Frosinone. Mazzitelli never wore the jersey of the National Major but he dressed for 14 times that of minor nationals.
