Atalanta has submitted the Champions list without having to give up any players by technical choice. The only absence is that of Gianluca Scamacca, ruled out due to the long stop that will keep him out until the end of the season. The big news concerns Dusan Vlahovic, who now falls into the youth category, thus freeing up a spot for Sulemana.
Uefa regulations allow clubs to make three changes to the list after the winter market. The Nerazzurri made logical choices: Posch takes Godfrey’s place and Maldini that of Zaniolo. The main doubt was who to include between Vlahovic and Sulemana, but the Serbian’s classification as a “youngster” allowed them both to be included.

To be considered among Uefa’s Under-21s, a player must have spent at least two years at the club. Vlahovic, class of 2004, has just completed this period with Atalanta, allowing the club to include him in the youth section, without occupying a spot among the “free agents.” Scalvini, though injured, did not weigh in on the list because he is considered Under.
The additions include Kossounou, who may be available only in the event of a European final. The Uefa list includes 23 players, in addition to Palestra, Vlahovic and other youngsters who may be added as they go along. All 17 spots available for unrestricted players have been filled, while for Serie A, which follows different rules, two spaces remain free among seniors, with Scamacca still included in the league list.
