The clash between Milan and Inter Milan is continuing even after the derby: tensions are really high, rags are flying.
The third derby of the season between Milan and Inter ended in a draw. The Rossoneri’s lead, sealed by Reijnders at the end of the first half, was answered by Stefan De Vrij in the match’s dying minutes: thanks to the Dutch defender’s goal, the Nerazzurri managed to avoid their third defeat in three matches against their Rossoneri cousins. However, after the final whistle the dispute between Milan and Inter continued to the sound of controversy and mutual exchanges of accusations.

In the various TV studios, the main talk was about the penalty not awarded to Inter for Pavlovic’s foul on Thuram. The Inter forward came into contact with the Milan defender in the area: according to Chiffi – who was not called to VAR for this episode – there were no grounds for the maximum penalty.
A decision that made Fabrizio Biasin, sports journalist and Inter fan, quite angry, who in the last episode of Pressing wanted to express all his disappointment for the penalty not awarded to Simone Inzaghi’s men.

Biasin also wanted to emphasize above all that when an episode in Inter’s favor occurs, it is talked about at length, even with hindsight: “I am saying that when there are things to Inter’s advantage we say that there are also things to Inter’s disadvantage.” A stance that, however, found Carlo Pellegatti’s contrary opinion. The historic Rossoneri journalist pointed out that the contact between Pavlovic and Thuram could only have been seen by VAR, since no one had noticed anything during the match.

Biasin reminded his colleague that VAR exists precisely for this reason, but for Pellegatti the referee was not called back to the monitor “because he sees Theo Hernandez going away with the ball, he does not think about the intervention.” A justification to which Biasin responds with irony: “Then we close the VAR in Lissone. Let’s make a nice mall in Lissone and we’re all set! There are 10 referees, Carlo! 10 referees!”
The Rossoneri journalist does not change his opinion: for him it is certainly a mistake but not as big as the fans of the Nerazzurri faith want to make it out to be. The clash between Milan and Inter continues…
