Milan has been a big player in the last winter session of the soccer market. It took five new players and five others left, among them Ismael Bennacer.
The Algerian midfielder left the Rossoneri shirt on Monday, February 3, the date on which the session closed, and signed for Marseille. The French club had already sought him during the summer market, however, then the deal did not go through. The former Arsenal and Empoli man asked for a transfer and was granted. He had already said yes to Marseille last summer, but there was no agreement between the parties. In the final of this winter market window the player got what he wanted, moving to the team coached by Roberto De Zerbi. Perhaps a change of air will be good for him; at AC Milan he was no longer the one of his best days.
Certainly the Rossoneri lose a midfielder with good qualities, however, conditioned by some physical limitations. Although he has been back for a while from his last injury, he still does not seem to hold up well to the rhythm of the game. In his place has been taken Warren Bondo, who has somewhat different characteristics and will try to take advantage of the great opportunity to wear the Milan jersey.
