“Credibility close to zero,” from Naples attack on Simone Inzaghi

Calcio Napoli News – A well-known Neapolitan journalist attacks Inter coach Simone Inzaghi: here’s what happened after the derby

Inter nabbed the Milan derby just as it expired, after hitting three posts. De Vrij’s goal on an assist from new signing Zalewski was decisive. The little point won against Milan allowed the Nerazzurri to change absolutely nothing in the standings, thanks also to the draw between Napoli and Roma. But following the derby, controversy erupted from Simone Inzaghi.

The Inter coach, in fact, was not at all satisfied with the refereeing and the decisions made by VAR. In the San Siro post-match, the coach was visibly nervous and began to list all the refereeing wrongs he has suffered lately:

“We were not given a resounding penalty (referring to the Pavlovic-Thuram contact ed.). It has been happening a lot lately. I don’t like alibis, stories, but it is right to point it out. There have been too many negative episodes against Inter since Riyadh: against Bologna, Thuram was run over and even given a foul against him; Lautaro still has stitches on his shin after the game against Empoli; in Lecce Baschirotto fouls his hand. It’s fair to say that.”

These words, however, sparked something in Carlo Alvino, a well-known Neapolitan journalist, who attacked Simone Inzaghi on X for changing his opinion about referees.

Alvino contro Inzaghi: “Il novello dr Jekyll e mr Hyde”

The Kiss Kiss Napoli radio broadcaster lashed out at the Nerazzurri coach and even compared him to the character in Robert Louis Stevenson’s Gothic novel.

“This is Simone Inzaghi. Or if you prefer the new Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. In November he said that he did not talk about referees, did not allow himself to make controversies and said he was ready to help the match directors, of course he said it when Conte, after Inter-Napoli attacked the Var management. Today the Nerazzurri coach even makes a list of (alleged) wrongs suffered”

Carlo Alvino then goes on to attack the press:

“Credibility near absolute zero and obvious signs of nervousness. But the regime press hasn’t noticed and won’t let us notice this change in Inzaghi on referees. The commander of the army of ‘young marots’ wants it that way.”
