Daniel Maldini, pictured courtesy of Atalanta B. C., was born in Milan on Oct. 11, 2001, and grew up in the youth ranks of the Rossoneri club with whom he made his Serie A debut at the age of 18, on Feb. 2, 2020, at the San Siro against Hellas Verona.
In the following season, 2020-2021, he totaled 5 appearances in Serie A, to which 4 in the UEFA Europa League should be added. He closes the 2021-22 season with 13 total appearances, including 8 in Serie A, 3 in the UEFA Champions League and 2 in the Coppa Italia. This was followed by a loan to Spezia, where he scored 3 goals in the 2022-23 season, including 2 in Serie A (18 appearances) and 1 in the Coppa Italia (2 appearances). In the 2023-24 season he played the first part of the season with Empoli, before joining Monza in January 2024, with whom he collected 18 Serie A appearances, with 4 goals and 1 assist. In the first part of this season with the biancorossi he collected 20 games, 3 goals and 1 assist in Serie A and 1 appearance in the Coppa Italia.
On Oct. 14, 2024, he made his debut with the national team in the victorious match (4-1) against Israel in the UEFA Nations League, where he also took the field with Italy in the game lost to France (1-3). The Nerazzurri club on its official channels writes: “The Percassi family, the Pagliuca family and all of Atalanta BC extend the warmest welcome to Daniel, wishing him the best satisfactions – personal and team – in the Nerazzurri jersey.”
