Due stili differenti, non solo in campo ma anche fuori: ecco perché Marco Baroni potrebbe essere l’allenatore ideale per Cairo
More and more the near future of Torino is being outlined: Vanoli out, Baroni in, these seem to be the choices made by the whole management and by Cairo specifically, who is counting on closing in the next few hours for the Tuscan coach who has just said goodbye to Lazio. Since the early stages of tense air with the Varese coach Baroni has been among the very first names on the list, and now the granata president is getting closer and closer to the goal. Different styles not only on the field but also off it, where the characters of the two coaches are opposite. The former Lazio man could be the ideal coach for Cairo for a very specific reason.
Due caratteri opposti
For a rather surly Vanoli, who over the course of the year in various conferences – especially in the run-up to the market – complained to the club, there is a Baroni who, on the other hand, has always been inclined to accept the moves of his superiors. And this, too, during his experience in the capital earned him the nickname “yes-man” assigned to him by some biancoceleste fans.
Returning to Vanoli, the former Venice coach as mentioned has complained several times about the club’s actions: at the beginning of the season he did so, for example, on the occasion of the sale of Bellanova, which was concluded without his knowledge, while a few months later he instead criticized the failure to find a striker who could take the place of the injured Zapata. Words upon words that did not please Cairo, who chose to exonerate him for this reason as well – beyond the sports part.
Baroni e il rapporto con i tifosi della Lazio
Baroni, on the other hand, has been nicknamed “yes-man” by part of the Lazio fans for his often overly compliant character, especially on the market side. It was in the winter session that this appellation became more widespread, when the Capitoline team was struggling for the upper echelons of the standings and Lotito rather than improving the squad available to the coach bought Belahyane, Prostvagaard and Ibrahimovic, players practically never used. After the “controversial” Vanoli it might be a good thing for Cairo to have a coach less prone to public controversy: but will the combination work?
