Torino, here is the contract offered to Baroni

Il Torino sta definendo l’accordo con Marco Baroni. I granata offrono un biennale a 1.2 milioni a stagione e un bonus per l’Europa

Torino is preparing for the new Marco Baroni-branded era. While waiting for the divorce from Paolo Vanoli to become official, the Granata are working to finalize details with the former Lazio coach. Recently, Baroni terminated his contract that bound him to the biancocelesti until 2026.

The coach is moving from a two-year to a two-year term. According to reports circulating about the Granata proposal, Toro reportedly offered 2.4 million to the coach for two years. A special bonus was included in the deal.

Torino-Baroni, prove d’Europa

Torino is aware that it has disappointed expectations in the recently ended season. The granata want (and must) take advantage of the summer soccer market to fill the gaps of last season. Baroni’s early arrival will be useful to focus on those players who can best interpret the former Lazio’s idea of play.

Toro aspires to Europe, and the proof is in Marco Baroni’s contract. In addition to 1.2 million per season for 2 years, the granata will also include in the agreement with the coach a bonus for qualifying for European cups.

L’addio di Vanoli

With the arrival in Turin of Marco Baroni, Paolo Vanoli’s experience in granata comes to an end. The coach arrived at the Filadelfia last summer from Venezia after the Veneto team’s thrilling ride from Serie B to winning the category playoffs, resulting in promotion to Serie A.

Vanoli says goodbye to Torino after 40 games between the league and Coppa Italia. On the Granata bench, the coach averaged 1.16 points per game. Under Vanoli’s management, Torino scored 42 goals and conceded 47. Torino finished the season in 11th place with 44 points. The granata chased the goal of tenth place for a long time (to end the championship on a decent note), without being able to achieve it. In Toro’s last match of the season, the granata lost 2-0 to Roma at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino and left the field engulfed in boos from the fans.
