Giovanni Branchini, Massimiliano Allegri’s agent, sends a rather clear message to the club. Here are his statements

Milan is starting over with Massimiliano Allegri. After a season to forget, one of the worst in Rossoneri history, the club has decided to rely on a coach who, one way or another, in the top four of the standings gets there. An easy choice, devoid of courage, anachronistic: the last three-year cycle at Juventus was a total disaster, for the game proposal but also for the failure to enhance the players, ending with a communication that left a lot to be desired.
He has hardly changed his method in this sabbatical year; Allegri is the one who for years has been carrying on the idea that soccer is simple while reality says exactly the opposite. We just have to wait and see whether or not anything will have changed in his work. His arrival at AC Milan is surprising because in the past months he had been strongly approached by other teams: first Roma and then especially Napoli in case of Antonio Conte’s farewell, but Igli Tare burned his bridges and went hard on him. His agent, Giovanni Branchini, spoke about this deal on the microphones of Radio Anch’io lo Sport.

During the interview, Allegri’s agent was quite clear about what the club’s work will have to be to enable the coach to do well. But first and foremost, there are those who are concerned about the relationship with Ibrahimovic, with whom he did not leave well over a decade ago: “I am not worried. In the Milan organizational chart, I am not aware that Ibrahimovic’s name appears with a specific role. Ibra is a consultant for Redbird.”

Bianchini is certain that Allegri is the right person to bring unity of purpose back to Milan: “At Milan, everyone has realized that there is a need for univocity, for understanding, for something that has been lacking in recent months. I am not so worried, I hope that the club has made this choice knowing that in addition to changing a few pawns, some approaches to the players and the environment need to be changed.” For the agent, therefore, it is not only a question of the market but also of approach, a clear and direct message that, even before starting, already takes responsibility away from the coach and pours everything on the club.
