Latest Napoli – Albert Gudmundsson in a Neapolitan jersey: it’s not fantasy soccer, images pop up that drive fans crazy
There was a time when the anome of Fiorentina striker Albert Gudmundsson also ended up on the notebook of manager Giovanni Manna. Now images with the Icelandic footballer in a Napoli jersey are popping up.
Gudmundsson is among the stars of the Italian league. Certainly one of the best, most interesting knocks made last summer when he left Genoa for a move to Florence. After a sprint start, with a double in his debut in a purple shirt, he struggled to find continuity. To be fair, he was also stopped by an injury, slowing down a lot his inclusion in the purple lineup.
Through social media, Albert posted some pictures from the month of January. Paris, Florence, but also pasta and…a doubles ping pong game. Just in a video in which he shows himself having fun playing table tennis, he keeps his Napoli jersey on.

Precisely for that reason, some comments of Fiorentina fans appeared at the sight of the player wearing the jersey of a championship rival.

In pictures posted on Instagram, Gudmundsson is shown wearing Napoli’s second jersey from last season, with the Scudetto printed on his chest. Evidently, the player exchanged the shirt with some Azzurri players at the end of Genoa-Napoli played in September 2023, when it ended in a 2-2 draw. Meanwhile, Fiorentina fans and his fantasy soccer “owners” are calling for a goal. Clearly, he turns out to be one of the most expensive pawns in the game, but his only 3 league goals are a meager haul for thousands of fantasy footballers.
