Internal disappointment for coach Leonardo Colucci’s Bologna Primavera, defeated 1-3 in the match against Fiorentina. After the visiting team’s initial lead through Caprini, Ravaglioli scored the equalizing goal in the 43rd minute at the end of a great personal action. Following Labedzki’s expulsion in the 70th minute, however, the Galloppa-coached team pushed on to find the lead goal, which came in the 81st minute thanks to Baroncelli. In the third minute of added time, then, Rubino scored again for Fiorentina.
In the 12th minute Bologna made itself dangerous with Castaldo on an assist from Baroncioni’s left, but his header ended just wide. In the 25th minute Fiorentina found the go-ahead goal with Caprini at the end of a quick counterattack. Again on the counterattack, however, it was Bologna who tied the match two minutes before halftime, with Ravaglioli very good at starting the action and then finishing it by taking advantage of a perfect deep ball from Castaldo.
On the quarter-hour mark of the second half, newcomer Labedzki was sent off. On the following action Fiorentina made itself dangerous with Mazzeo, but his header finished just wide on a ball that came in from the left. In the 77th minute Happonen was perfect in responding in the dive to Gudelevicius’s first-intention right, but three minutes later Baroncelli scored with a cross shot from inside the box for the final lead, later rounded off by Rubino on a counterattack.
Next appointment on Saturday at 1 p.m. on the Milan field.
