Rome between Lucca and Mikautadze

AS ROMA NEWS CALCIOMERCATO – Having abandoned the Frattesi track, which seems destined to be rekindled only in the run-up to next summer, Roma now turns its attention to the last two signings of this January market led by the Ghisolfi-Ranieri tandem. Outgoing are Mario Hermoso and Eldor Shomurodov, defender and striker who will have to be adequately replaced.

As for the center forward, yesterday Pohjanpalo waved an emotional goodbye to the fans of Venezia, ready to move to Palermo: in his place, the lagunari have Roma-owned uzebko ready. The final acceleration is expected in the coming hours, with Shomurodov expected to say yes to the transfer to Di Francesco’s court.

In his place, Roma seems ready to spend a significant slice of its budget for this winter market: Ranieri would like to have Udinese’s Lorenzo Lucca, valued at 20-25 million by the Friulians, on whom there is, however, also interest from Milan. In order to lower the price of the tag, the inclusion of a couple of youngsters in the deal is being considered: Udinese likes Marin and Misitano.

Ghisolfi, on the other hand, is back to beat the track leading to Georges Mikautadze, also 24, but a completely different striker in terms of technical and physical characteristics to Lucca. Lyon has shot high, asking as much as 30 million for the former Metz man, who has scored eight goals this season between the league and Europa League. In the background is Everton’s Beto, who has now become the Giallorossi’s Plan C.
