LAZIO – 1998 was the beginning of a wonderful era for Lazio. In April of that year, the biancocelesti were protagonists in the 51st edition of the Coppa Italia, reaching the final and facing Zaccheroni’s Milan. Coppa Italia, 08/04/1998: Milan – Lazio 1-0
The first leg of the final between Lazio and AC Milan was played at the San Siro in front of 63,000 spectators. LAZIO – April 29, 2001. Nearly eighty thousand spectators watched, at the Olimpico, the return derby valid for the twenty-eighth day of the championship. One point each for Roma and Lazio, scoring respectively with Batistuta and Delvecchio answered in the second half by Nedved and Castroman. SPORT – April 29, 1976. Fabio Liverani, former midfielder and current Lecce coach at Lazio from 2001 to 2006, was born in Rome. With the biancoceleste team he scored his first goal on Nov. 18, 2001 in Udine in the match won 4-1 by the Capitoline team. He repeated a week later, being decisive in Lazio-Juventus (1-0). At Roma he played five seasons for a total of 126 league games: with the eagle on his chest he won an Italian Cup in the 2003-2004 season before becoming the team captain. At the end of his contract, some disagreements with patron Claudio Lotito convinced the midfielder not to renew and leave the Capital: best wishes Fabio!!!
