Tare is among the strongest candidates for Milan’s sporting director role: if he arrives, they are moving toward a name for the bench

The future of Milan is still an open construction site. No decision has been made yet: Giorgio Furlani is looking for the sporting director, who will then also be decisive for the choice of coach. Last summer every major decision was wrong, as was widely predictable, and the results on the field were seen. Now the same mistake must not be repeated, and that is why the arrival of a sporting director can only do good for the whole management team. Everything seemed done for Fabio Paratici a few weeks ago: the former Juventus man’s contract was ready to be just signed, then an unexpected turnaround.
These days the names of Igli Tare, the man initially chosen by Ibrahimovic before Furlani’s trip to New York, and Atalanta’s Tony D’Amico have come back into fashion. With the former there was a meeting recently in Rome, but since then there have been no further developments. With the former Lazio sporting director, the choice of coach could be rather addressed.
Tare al Milan? Un solo nome per la panchina
Milan seems intent on bringing some Italian soul back to the team after completely ignoring this aspect in recent years. Tare is not Italian but his footballing background was mainly with us, first as a player and then as a manager with Lazio. In short, he knows our league well and knows what it takes to do well. Moreover, he is used to working with small budgets and looking for market insights.

As for the choice of coach, this too, like all the others, will be shared with the rest of the managers, and thus Furlani, Ibrahimovic and Moncada. All could agree toward a single path: Massimiliano Allegri. Free after his poor recent run at Juventus, the Livorno native is waiting for an interesting proposal and the one from Milan could be right for him.
Relaunching the Rossoneri, bringing serenity back to the environment and also some order from a tactical point of view, could be a tempting motivation. Doubts about him, however, remain: at Juventus he failed to bring home the results, despite his philosophy, he did not enhance any of the players in the squad and, above all, confirmed his difficulties in having a playing proposition in line with the demands of modern soccer. We will see if, despite this, Milan will still go all the way in this possibility.
The article Tare won’t listen to reason, next coach already chosen was written and published in its original version on Milanlive.it.
