Turin: 38.3 million debt with banks, new loan required in 2024

Dal bilancio economico del 2024 si evince come i debiti del Torino nei confronti di banche e non solo ammontino a 43,5 milioni di euro

Once again this year, having arrived in mid-April, Torino released its financial statements related to what happened in 2024. The Granata club has disclosed the various expenses and revenues, allowing fans and supporters to be able to look at everything with transparency. Among the various data possible to extrapolate, within the extensive document are also those related to the club’s accumulated debts to banks and others: a number, this one, that is decreasing compared to 2023.

I debiti del Torino

There are two items regarding payables: on the one hand, those to shareholders for loans, and on the other hand, those to banks. Regarding the former, they amount to 9 million euros (one less than the year before), and have to do with the balance of an interest-bearing long-term loan disbursed in several tranches by the parent company U.T. Communications S.P.A.

Bank borrowings, on the other hand, amounted to 38.3 million euros and decreased by 5.5 million compared to 2023. These mainly include the balance of a loan disbursed last September by Banca Ifis for the purpose of early repayment of bank loans outstanding at that date.

Il totale

As for the total, debts regarding the year 2024 amount to 43.491 million euros, just over two million less than the 45.722 million in 2023. Standing out among the figures are the 10 million difference related to both bank debts (38 current vs. 48 last year) and more general long-term financial debts as well.

Urbano Cairo, chairman of Torino FC, looks on prior to the Serie A football match between Torino FC and Empoli FC.
