AS ROMA NEWS – Francesco Farioli continues to be hinted at the Roma bench for next season, but not everyone believes the Ajax coach could really end up in Trigoria. Ruling out this possibility is Paolo Galardi, a former goalkeeping coach and great friend of the Tuscan coach, who was interviewed by the Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant.
Net words, his: “He will certainly not go to Roma. In Italy, it is unthinkable that a 36-year-old could lead the most important team in the country,” Galardi said, thus extinguishing rumors that would have Farioli among the candidates chosen by Ghisolfi.
The current Ajax coach, according to Galardi, is already doing a masterpiece in Amsterdam: “Francis and his staff are performing a miracle by taking a perfectly normal team and making it excel,” he added, praising his work in the Eredivisie.
Despite his friendship with Ghisolfi – who most likely included him in the list presented to the Friedkins – Galardi considers his landing in the capital unlikely. From Roma, meanwhile, all is silent: the name of the new coach will be revealed only in two or three weeks, as anticipated by the French sporting director himself.
