Rumors are becoming more and more insistent that Massimiliano Allegri is on the Milan bench. He now appears to be the chosen one to lead the Diavolo in the 2025/2026 season, with the goodwill of Sergio Conceicao. The Portuguese coach has not yet given up hope of keeping his job by qualifying the Champions League and winning the Coppa Italia.
As is evident, however, the chances are very few indeed. That is why it is increasingly likely, that Milan will start again with an Italian coach. Thus in pole has jumped Allegri, the favorite of Giorgio Furlani. In the cauldron of names one cannot but include Antonio Conte, but first he would have to decide to leave Naples. At the same time they like other coaches such as Vincenzo Italiano and Roberto De Zerbi. More in the background are the profiles of Maurizio Sarri and Cesc Fabregas.
In the coming weeks we will learn whether Milan will really decide to start again with Massimiliano Allegri. The former Juventus coach would have accepted the Diavolo last year, but the Rossoneri team decided to make other choices.

Those who know the Tuscan coach well know that Milan’s roster is considered up to the task of challenging the big ones, but some adjustments should still be made. Giovanni Galeone, in an interview with TeleLombardia extolled Rafa Leao, adding that the coach would relaunch Loftus-Cheek and Maignan, while also clearly targeting Reijnders and Pulisic.
The focus, then, is mainly on the defensive department, for which, according to the former coach, a couple of strikes would be needed. Allegri often relied on the three-man defense, and in order to be able to do that in Milan as well, reinforcements are needed. Walker, Gabbia, Thiaw, and Pavlovic certainly cannot suffice, considering the increasingly likely sale of Fikayo Tomori.
Therefore, at least two defenders would be needed. Thus, here the attentions are mainly focused on Comuzzo of Fiorentina and Coppola of Verona, young and Italian. Having a more blue Milan is a goal that would also please Massimiliano Allegri himself. Watch out, however, for a deal at zero or almost no cost: the Diavolo could, in fact, decide to bring Rugani, now at Ajax, back to Italy. The player would go to lengthen the squad, quietly accepting that he is initially a last choice, but he could also play an important role in the locker room
