Tragedy occurred a few steps from Naples-Capodichino International Airport at the beginning of training: soccer school in mourning
It was supposed to be just another day, but it turned into a tragedy before everyone’s eyes. Diego De Vivo, a 14-year-old boy full of dreams and hopes, passed away suddenly in the Naples Cantera training facility.
The young man was taken ill at the beginning of the team training session. Carabinieri and a mobile patrol from the Naples Stella area also responded to the field on the Selva Cafaro municipal road, La Repubblica reports.
Cantera Napoli spread the news through their social media, stating that they were greatly shocked by the tragic event that took away a very young soccer player. On Instagram reads a post suspending all activities, followed later by this message:
“Destroyed by grief at the passing of Diego De Vivo. Rest in peace champion.”
The boy’s body was made available for autopsy examination to understand the cause of this untimely death.
