Giallorossi on national team: Nations League and World Cup Qualification in Africa

Three first-team players engaged with their national teams today. In Europe, Thorir Helgason has regained a call-up to Iceland, opposed to Kosovo in the play-offs to define the cadres of the next Nations League. The first leg match will be played today at 8:45 p.m. at the Vokrri Stadium in Pristina.

In Africa, it’s time for World Cup 2026 qualifiers. Kialonda Gaspar’s Angola will be on stage in Libya. In Benina, at 8 p.m., the Angolans will be looking precisely to overtake the Libyans, surprisingly second on 7 points behind Cameroon (unexpectedly stuck at 0-0 by eSwatini) in Group D. Lassana Coulibaly rejoins Mali’s roster and, in Berkane, Morocco, will face Comoros in the match that counts for Group I. Here, too, to date, there is a surprise leader, Madagascar on 10 points. Behind the Malagasy are the Comoros themselves at 9 along with Ghana. Mali, at 5, needs points to get back into contention at the top.
