Last months of Sergio Conceiçao’s management then barring any sensational twists and turns – not even conceivable at the moment – it will be goodbye to the Lusitanian coach at the end of the season. And so from July they will start again with a new project and a new coach, the third in a year.
This time, however, no bets, let alone algorithms to decide the ideal profile. The focus will be on soccer knowledge, on the safe used, the guarantee in short. And this has only one name and surname at the moment, that of Massimiliano Allegri. The coach from Livorno is currently without a bench. A sabbatical after his exoneration last May with Juve, two days after winning the Coppa Italia.
Allegri knows the Rossoneri environment well: he has already coached and won the Scudetto at Milanello and is considered the ideal choice to start from scratch with a new project. The alternative to the Livorno native is Antonio Conte, but the Salento coach is currently armored by Napoli with a three-year contract and De Laurentiis wants to open a winning cycle with him.
Milan di Allegri: il 3-5-2 sarà il modulo
Allegri at AC Milan would arrive aware of the potential of the players on the roster and determined to get the most out of everyone in the squad. A team that is already ready to start again with the 3-5-2, the coach’s favorite form, the one that has given him the most satisfaction in his career with titles galore.

Net of the market, which could see the departure of some big names and the arrival of new players, Allegri would start from a solid base and three certainties on which to build his team: we refer to Kyle Walker, Christian Pulisic and Rafa Leao.
The English full-back arrived in January from Manchester City but has already become indispensable, in terms of quality and charisma. Number 32 would be an ideal right-back in the three-man defense that could be complemented by Thiaw and Tomori, with the latter being locked in after the rumors of the last winter market session.
Milan, centrocampo di qualità e quantità
Christian Pulisic, on the other hand, would have a fifth outside role on the right, full-back in short though with purely offensive duties. Besides, it would be Walker himself who would have his back in coverage, with a kind of asymmetrical team in the non-possession phase.

All so as not to penalize and tire the U.S. outfielder too much and leave him free to express his talent and effectiveness under goal. A midfield, that of five, which would then be completed by Fofana, Loftus-Cheek and Reijnders, for a midfield that will combine quality and quantity, class and dynamism as Allegri likes for his teams.
On the left flank, however, Theo Hernandez will thus remain in Milan despite the winds of farewell blown in recent months, with the Rossoneri also reportedly accepting Como’s offer last January. The Frenchman is expected to act at full-back, a role he has also played in a few competitions this season.
Il nuovo ruolo per Leao
In attack, however, everything is already decided. Rafa Leao will change roles, advancing and centralizing his range of action: the Lusitanian will leave the beloved left flank to act as a second forward, inside the field, a role he does not particularly favor but useful to allow him to give his best in the offensive phase.
And next to him of course Santiago Gimenez, the bomber who arrived in January and on whom the Rossoneri attack will revolve. A 3-5-2 that in the process with some adjustments could also become a 4-3-3 for a chameleon-like team.
