Inter is injury emergency: Zielinski out a month, misses Udinese too?

Inter Milan will have to do without Piotr Zielinski for at least a month after he was injured in the last match against Monza. The Polish midfielder underwent clinical examinations on Monday, March 10, at the Humanitas institute in Rozzano, which showed a distraction of the medial twin in his right leg. The stop will keep him out for several weeks, confirming his absence in the match against Udinese on March 30 at San Siro.

Zielinski’s problem adds to a long list of injuries that are complicating Inter’s progress. Since the start of the season, the club has already recorded 40 physical stoppages, a figure that testifies to the difficulties in managing the squad. The most critical issues have been found especially on the flanks, where recently Dimarco, Carlos Augusto and Darmian have been unavailable during the same period. In the challenge against Monza, Inzaghi had to adapt Bastoni as a full-band outside, an emergency solution to cope with the absences.

With Zielinski out, the Nerazzurri coach will have to find alternatives in midfield to face the delicate end of the season. The recovery of other injured players will be crucial to keep the team’s level up, especially ahead of decisive commitments in the league and cups.
