Milan has chosen what to do with the players who arrived on loan in January. On the Englishman there are only certainties: the situation in the Rossoneri’s house
It was an important January soccer market for Milan. The Rossoneri club, eager to improve the squad at Sergio Conceicao’s disposal, made strong moves, adding players of some depth. Thus, Giorgio Furlani and Zlatan Ibrahimovic decided to finally buy the center forward everyone was waiting for: an investment was made that potentially, should all bonuses be triggered, from 35 million euros.
AC Milan’s market, however, did not stop with Santi Gimenez, but continued with other thick grafts. Thus, in the last few hours, Warren Bondo arrived, who finally played on Saturday night, offering excellent responses. He is the second shot on a permanent basis, arriving from Monza. The other three deals, however, have passed through the gates of Milanello on a loan basis.
The first to do so was Kyle Walker, who convinced everyone from the start. Experience, leadership and technical qualities, despite his age, put at the service of the team. The redemption of about 5 million euros from Manchester City is just a formality.
Calciomercato Milan, il punto su Felix, Sottil ed Abraham
The same cannot be said for Joao Felix. He, too, actually authored an excellent debut, but it was only an illusion. The Portuguese, then, has always done poorly. To imagine him staying at Milan is practically impossible. He will pack his bags together with Sergio Conceicao who really wanted him.
Different situation regarding Riccardo Sottil. The Fiorentina-owned outfielder, for whom a ten-million-euro ransom has been set, has certainly not been exciting, but he has not played much either. His stay could still be there, perhaps through an exchange with Yacine Adli, to have more Italians on the roster. A final decision, however, has not yet been made.
An even more entangled situation is that related to Tammy Abraham. The Englishman has done well in the reserve role, but his salary of over 4 million euros net per season is a really big problem. Impossible for him to stay taking twice as much as Santi Gimenez, who is the de facto starter. The situation must therefore be monitored carefully
