Vincenzo Italiano is learning better and better how to make use of the bench to affect matches. The numbers say it: if we talk about participation in goals, so direct goal, assist or penalty procured, there are 16 cases in which the players that the coach has gradually brought in from the bench this season have been decisive.
In particular, there are seven goals in total, to which are added two penalties scored and seven more assists. Bologna, today’s Il Corriere di Bologna points out, is fifth in this special ranking: better done only by Lazio with 25 appearances, Atalanta and Parma with 20, and Roma with 17. Stopping at goals scored alone, however, Bologna with Cambiaghi’s goal at the Bentegodi came to seven seals from substitutes: the others bear the signatures of Castro, Dallinga, Fabbian, Orsolini, Karlsson and Iling-Junior.
