Especially in the beginning, in fact, Milan actually moved with a three-man defense, allowing Theo Hernandez to stay wide on the left. Something changed with the entry of Rafa Leao, but the idea of playing this way had been in the Portuguese coach’s head for some time. An idea that could be reproposed against Como as well.
