Thauvin worked separately yesterday: meanwhile, Runjaic studies possible alternatives

Florian Thauvin did not take part in Udinese’s open-door training session, causing some concern among fans. The club explained the absence by talking about a differentiated training between gym and swimming pool, a plausible choice considering the large amount of minutes accumulated by the player this season. However, with only a few days to go before the away match against Lazio, his condition represents a wake-up call for Runjaic, who hopes to be able to count on his number 10 for the match at the Olimpico on Monday night.

Meanwhile, the coach is considering possible alternatives in attack in case Thauvin is unavailable. Among the options are Alexis Sánchez and young Iker Bravo, both candidates to flank Lorenzo Lucca in the 4-4-2.

As for the rest of the lineup, Ekkelenkamp and Atta should act on the outside midfield, while on the defensive flanks Kamara is sure of his place, with Kristensen favored over Ehizibue. In goal, the other ballot: as of now it seems closer to confirm Padelli in defense of the posts with Okoye who would be available again, but starting from the bench.
