His work has given a strong identity to the team and made the bond between the people of Bergamo and their Dea even stronger.[…] With the aim of gathering the support of the community and showing local institutions how much this idea is felt by the citizens.” The initiative was launched by a group of Nerazzurri fans and placed on the portal by Stefano Mayer. “The creation of the statue would be financed through popular fundraising, as a testament to the affection the city feels for the coach.”
