From the frying pan to the fire, bad news comes from the infirmary for AC Milan

No good news comes from Milanello’s infirmary: Conceicao is expected to be without two players for Bologna and Lazio

Milan is hard at work preparing for Thursday’s match against Bologna. With three months to go until the end of the championship, the rematch at the Renato Dall’Ara already seems to be a last resort for Milan’s qualification for the next Champions League. The Rossoneri are currently eight points behind Juventus but have a chance to shorten that by winning against Vincenzo Italiano’s men. It is far from an easy challenge for Sergio Conceicao, who has vowed to give his all to finish fourth. That certainly does not save Milan’s season, a failure in any case.

The coach’s responsibilities are rather limited: of faults he has some, but the one who has more is certainly the management, which got everything wrong in the summer and in the January market tried to make up for it in a confusing and improvised way. Conceicao can do nothing but work at Milanello to the best of his ability but he always has to deal with absences. For Bologna and Lazio, the next two league matches, the recovery of the two injured players seems difficult.

Infortuni Milan, non rientrano per Bologna e Lazio

Milan were unable to field Kyle Walker against Torino at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday afternoon, as he was absent due to a muscle problem suffered during the Champions League match against Feyenoord. It seemed a minor issue but apparently, according to rumors coming out of Milanello, he is not expected to make it for either Bologna or Lazio. A very heavy absence given the excellent impact the Englishman had had since his arrival. But the hottest issue is another.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek is also not expected to recover for Bologna and Lazio. The Englishman was injured in early December in the Champions League and was out for almost a month before returning to Riyad in the Italian Super Cup. On that occasion, however, he suffered a relapse and has not recovered since: in total, we are almost three months out without any kind of news about it. He seemed ready to be on the field in a short time, but he will also miss the next two matches.

A real case in point, as happened several times during the previous season. Fortunately, something has changed this year: difficult moments were not lacking, but in normal amounts for such a busy year. Loftus-Cheek, however, who has always had injury problems in his career, just can’t seem to shake this problem. And Milan continues to be in an emergency.
