Juventus, Empoli’s Cup journey.

Juve’s official website published a note about the Bianconeri. Here is the statement: “Juventus and Empoli will face each other on Feb. 26 in the match valid for the quarterfinals of the 2024/2025 Coppa Italia, in the competition in which the Bianconeri hold the title after their success in the last edition. The two teams will take the field on Wednesday evening at the Allianz Stadium in Turin with kickoff of the match set for 9 p.m. SOME DETAILS ABOUT EMPOLI Empoli was eliminated the last time it participated in the Coppa Italia quarterfinals, losing by an aggregate score of 4-0 to Inter in the 2006/07 edition (2-0 for the Nerazzurri in both the first leg and the return). The Tuscan team could become the 41st different formation to reach the penultimate act of the competition. Empoli has gone unbeaten in each of the last three Coppa Italia competitions (2V, 1N); the last time the Tuscan team did better in a single edition of the tournament was in 2002/03 (four in that case, the result of three wins and one draw). Empoli has never repeated the same result in the last seven Coppa Italia away matches (3V, 1N, 3P), drawing the most recent one (2-2 against Fiorentina in regulation time just in the previous round, then getting the better of it in the lottery of penalties).”
