Sintesi e commento / La squadra granata chiude il girone di andata a quota 21 punti con il rammarico per non aver vinto
Torino’s first match of 2025 ends 0-0 but the regret is great because the impression is that the Granata team could have gotten a different result. What was lacking was precision in the area but also some poor technical choices.
Torino-Parma: il primo tempo
After experimenting with the 4-2-3-1 for the first time in the second half of the match against Udinese, he reintroduced it from the first minute against Parma. Adams central point with Lazaro, Vlasic and Karamoh behind him, Ricci and Ilic in the middle. In defense, a four-man line with Vojvoda, Maripan, Coco and Sosa. Torino got off to a strong start right away and in the first 20 minutes built three sharp goal balls: the first at 9′, when Vlasic crossed from the right for Adams who, with a header, called for a great save from Suzuki. Then at 17′, when Karamoh sits down both Suzuki and an opposing defender but at the unguarded goal he does not kick and tries a pass for Vlasic that is intercepted, however. A minute later, however, it was Adams again who went for the shot, on Lazaro’s cross, finding Suzuki’s excellent response for the second time. In the middle Parma found the goal with Mihaila but the referee, without the need for Var help, rightly annulled for the obvious offside of Cancellieri, author of the assist. As the minutes go by, the Granata’s push fades a bit and Parma at 45′ tries to come forward with a conclusion from the limit by Hernani that ends up on the bottom. The first half ends 0-0, with the Granata deserving a little more.
Torino-Parma: il secondo tempo
The second half opened with a change in the Torino side: Linetty in place of Ricci, whom Vanoli recalled to the bench due to muscle discomfort. Those who expected to see again the same team capable of creating several chances at the beginning of the first half were disappointed: as in the second part of the first half, in fact, Torino’s maneuver became more predictable and Parma started to get the chances. Bonny, on 18′, shortly after his entrance on the pitch engaged Milinkovic-Savic from distance, a minute later Mihaila hit the outside of the post. Vanoli tried to change the course of the match by sending on Tameze, Pedersen and Njie in chief at 20′ in place of Ilic, Lazaro and Karamoh but the three subs struggled to really get into the game. The coach then decided to switch to 4-2-4 with Sanabria taking Sosa’s place and Pedersen dropping to the line of defenders. In the midst of the recovery just the number 9 has a ‘chance, after a shot by Vlasic bricked, but he kicks high. Then, in 94′, it is Linetty who comes close to scoring with a right-footed shot that Suzukiu stretches with his fingertips and the ball goes out by a whisker. It ends 0-0.
