Roma soccer market, all the details of Le Fee to Sunderland: mandatory buyback at 24 million

LATEST NEWS FROM AS ROMA – Enzo Le Fee is set to become a new Sunderland player. This afternoon the Giallorossi midfielder left the capital on a flight that departed from Ciampino airport bound for England.

In the coming hours, the former Rennes man will undergo medical examinations and then sign the contract that will bind him to the English club. Should Sunderland gain promotion to the Premier League, the (free) loan will turn into a buy-back obligation, which has been set at as much as 24 million euros, a figure that would also allow Roma to obtain a capital gain.

The player’s salary from now until next June will be paid in full by the English club, which currently plays in the Championship and is in the midst of a promotion fight: Sunderland is fourth behind Leeds, Burnley and Sheffiel Utd. The four teams are packed within just three points: the top two will automatically ascend to the Premier, while third, fourth, fifth, and sixth-place finishers will play a playoff that will decide the last promoted team.
