“As always this one with Fiorentina will be a difficult match, they have reinforced in January with quality players like Zaniolo and Fagioli. I like the Viola a lot, lately they have changed their way of playing a bit. We will have to play with our mentality and be aggressive, I think the absence of Kean will make them lack an important reference point in attack but they have numerous options and we will have to be good at understanding the dynamics”
Against Juventus Van der Brempt had to leave after a few minutes of entering the field, how is it going and what is the unavailable situation besides the disqualified Fadera?
“Van der Brempt won’t be there because of the flexor problem, Alberto Moreno will also miss but he could return with Napoli and so could Gabrielloni, Sergi Roberto will be absent but he may recover for Roma, he will be very useful for the end of the season. Kempf will be among the summoned but we will see whether to use him or not.”
Among January’s new arrivals is former Viola Ikoné and against the Bianconeri Smolcic made his debut, here’s what the Larian coach thinks about it:
“Ikoné is a strong player on whom we are betting a lot but he still has to adapt to our form of play. I really liked Smolcic, he has character and can adapt.”
