Tijjani Reijnders and the news that fans just didn’t expect to read: it’s a glaring mistake and no one can believe it
The victory in the Italian Super Cup has left positive feelings in the Rossoneri’s house. Sergio Conceicao’s new Milan seems to have been born under a promising star and – in that sense – the soccer market could give a big hand to the new coach of the ‘Diavolo’

Twenty days or so to make room for the right ideas and try to bring to Milanello profiles congenial to the Lusitano coach’s idea of soccer. Beyond what will happen in terms of the market by the end of the month – in that sense, the name of Marcus Rashford for the attack remains very much alive – there is another issue at the Rossoneri’s house that needs to be addressed and it concerns one of the immovable pillars of Fonseca first and Conceicao later.
We are talking about Tijjani Reijnders, a key midfielder in the Rossoneri’s midfield who has experienced exponential growth in recent months. Quality and quantity in the middle of the field but also goals and assists for his teammates: right now he is certainly among the best in Europe in his role. A truly shocking market revelation has left everyone speechless: a real bombshell has arrived from Spain.
Reijnders, no secco: errore madornale
So much so that several big teams are reportedly thinking about him ahead of the summer soccer session. AC Milan, however, seems to want to make a wall and hold on to the Dutch national player who remains under contract with the ‘Diavolo’ until June 30, 2028.

The portal ‘Fichajes.net’ reveals, however, a truly incredible backstory concerning Reijnders’ landing at Milanello. Having arrived from AZ Alkmaar for 20 million euros in July 2023, the midfielder’s card was first offered to another big club: Atletico Madrid. However, Diego Simeone immediately said no, evidently not deeming as suitable for the game of the ‘Colchoneros’ what is now undoubtedly among the strongest midfielders in the world. An egregious miscalculation, as Madrid are looking for high-level profiles in the middle of the field.
A train that quickly passed away and that, evidently, will not return. Milan can do nothing but say thank you for the resounding rejection by the ‘Cholo,’ which quickly turned into a resounding regret. A missed opportunity that Simeone himself is probably struggling to forgive himself. And meanwhile, Reijnders, valued at 50-60 million euros by the Rossoneri management, may soon adjust his salary and renew with the Via Aldo Rossi club.
