Yıldız pulls the strings, Cabal strikes off the bench, and Juventus capitalize on Bologna’s red card to take three vital points in Matchday 15.
Juventus collected a precious 1–0 away victory over Bologna at the Renato Dall’Ara, edging a tight contest thanks to a decisive second-half header from Juan Cabal. The win keeps the Bianconeri firmly in the hunt for a Champions League spot, while Bologna were left to rue missed chances and a costly red card shown to Heggem late in the match.
The first half was balanced and intense, with Bologna starting brightly. Di Gregorio was immediately called into action, denying Pobega and then reacting sharply to Orsolini from close range. Juventus responded through Kenan Yıldız, who repeatedly ignited the attack with his movement and dribbling, forcing Zortea into a crucial recovery after a Bologna mistake in buildup.
Juventus thought they had taken the lead late in the first half when McKennie pressured Ravaglia into an error and David tapped into an empty net, but the goal was ruled out for offside earlier in the move. Bologna came agonizingly close just before the break, Orsolini finding Zortea on the right, whose powerful strike crashed off the crossbar.
The breakthrough arrived shortly after the interval. Yıldız once again made the difference, winning a corner with a deflected shot. From the resulting set piece, substitute Cabal—on the pitch for only a few minutes—rose unmarked to head home and give Juventus the lead.
Five minutes later the match tilted decisively in Juventus’ favor. Bologna defender Heggem misjudged a long ball, allowing Openda to break through on goal, and hauled him down as the last man. The referee had no choice but to show a straight red card, leaving Bologna with ten men.
From there, Juventus managed the game with composure, controlling possession and limiting Bologna’s attacking threat. In stoppage time, Openda twice went close to doubling the lead, but the single goal proved enough. At full time, Juventus celebrated a disciplined and opportunistic away win that could weigh heavily in the race for the top four.
