Mike Maignan is close to leaving AC Milan and becoming a new Chelsea player, despite the fact that Massimiliano Allegri has been trying his best to convince him to stay and start with him again in this new Rossoneri course. However, the French goalkeeper has been too disappointed with the renewal ballet of the past few months, so he would be pushing himself to wear the Blues’ jersey and prove himself not only in the Premier League, but also in the upcoming Club World Cup.
The Milan door is therefore revolving, with La Gazzetta dello Sport this morning headlining “Via Mike. Here’s Svilar,” with the Roma goalkeeper indicated to be by Massimiliano Allegri the only viable profile with which to replace the Frenchman.
But to please Roma, which is starting from a valuation of no less than 40 million for Svilar, will have to put its hands in its wallet. Milan is ready to play the Saelemaekers card to convince the Giallorossi and lower the overall cost of the deal, which would otherwise be too onerous for the Rossoneri’s coffers.
Should the assault on Svilar prove too complicated, other alternative tracks for after Maignan would take hold: Parma’s Suzuki and Cagliari’s Caprile are the names under consideration. As for Roma, on the other hand, there are three profiles being looked at in the event of Svilar’s transfer: Chelsea’s Petrovic and Lyon’s Perri are the hottest names.
