Il pagellone di Cristiano Biraghi al termine della stagione 2024/2025: 6 mesi positivi in granata dopo l’inizio infelice con la Fiorentina
Season over and much to be decided for Torino but not as far as Cristiano Biraghi is concerned. The granata defender, who arrived in January on loan from Fiorentina, immediately became a key player for Vanoli, who has never deprived himself of him since his arrival under the Mole. A nefarious start, however, with an own goal against Bologna that was one of the few blemishes on the fullback’s season in granata.
A locker room man but also a leader on the technical-tactical front, the former Viola has proved to be one of the most functional January purchases for the type of play offered by Toro. Great experience, quality on set pieces and a very left-handedness make him one of the players from whom the most dangerous plays originate. And he could thus become one of the staples in the future …
Toro, la stagione di Biraghi in numeri
After four and a half years, Biraghi left Florence to land in Vanoli’s court. A period contoured by experience, goals, assists and quality that came to an end with the unhappiest of epilogues. Sidelined as captain, he did not find the space he hoped for, until his definitive exclusion and farewell. At Torino, therefore, a sort of new life began for him. Arriving on February 3, he made his debut five days later, collecting the first of his 15 total appearances, including two as a substitute. The ninety minutes came quickly and so did the trust from his teammates and the Granata coach. No goals scored, however, in this second half of the season.
Biraghi, futuro
A perfect symbiosis from the beginning then, the one developed by the full-back and the Granata club, which they hope to carry on with regard to next season as well. Indeed, it took Toro little time to decide on Biraghi’s future. The intention that has emerged is to redeem him, complicit in the opposite direction that Fiorentina would seem to have taken. The gale has not subsided and the former Viola player has spoken sweet words with a few future notes for the club where he currently plays. As St. Thomas said, “as long as I see, I don’t believe,” but the premises are good. The next step is to concretize them.
