Naples Mayor Gaetano Manfredi gave an interview to the microphones of La Gazzetta dello Sport. Among the many topics discussed, the first Neapolitan citizen obviously talked about Antonio Conte and the Azzurri team, but also about the Scudetto celebration and the project related to the restyling of the Diego Armando Maradona stadium.
“A great professional who demands the best from himself and others. I spoke with him several times and I could see that he was impressed by the passion of this city and wanted to experience it together with his family. Naples needs such personalities,” Manfredi said about Antonio Conte.
Asked who his favorite players are, Gaetano Manfredi mentioned two names in particular.
“There is no doubt that the constant example is set by Captain Di Lorenzo, always present and always ready to help his teammates. Then McTominay was an extraordinary acquisition,” the Naples mayor commented.

We have presented a master plan on the redevelopment of the Maradona to President De Laurentiis. We will continue the discussion in the coming days. Naples deserves a modern and functional stadium, the City will play its part economically and administratively,” concluded the mayor of Naples.
