Silva seeks Serie B with Crotone: Vanoli keeps an eye on him

Il terzino sinistro è risultato tra i peggiori in campo della sfida del Via del Mare, compiendo diversi errori tecnici

While there are still two days left in Serie A, in the minor leagues the regular seasons are over and the knockout stages have kicked off. There are many young Grenadians on loan committed, who with their own teams are aiming to move up the ladder or avoid relegation that would be scalding. Among them is Jonathan Silva, 2004 Brazilian who went on loan to Crotone last summer. The midfielder is playing for Serie B with the Calabrians, although it will be far from easy. In the meantime, however, his season has been very convincing.

Partita complicata

The jump from a youth league to a professional one is never easy, and very few manage to hold their own right from the start. Silva can say he is one of these, having settled into the Crotone reality in an entirely egregious manner. The young Brazilian instantly impressed coach Emilio Longo, who has practically always fielded him (very often as a starter) and has not been disappointed at all. In fact, the 21-year-old’s numbers are astonishing, if one makes a comparison with those of the past: credit to him but also to Longo, who has found him an ad hoc position in his 4-2-3-1, advancing him compared to when he played as a halfback. Now Silva is a tall, scoring, scoring and entertaining outside player: the 4 goals and 9 assists are no accident. Excellent scoring figures, which have contributed to the great ascent of the Calabrese, who are now aiming for Serie B.

Ma Vanoli non lo ha tolto

A season, his, that has certainly left Paolo Vanoli happy so far, who has followed him from a distance. The coach cannot but be pleased with the Brazilian’s growth, and in all likelihood he will take him with him on training camp next summer. There he will be evaluated like any youngster, and a decision will be made whether to go on loan again, perhaps this time in Serie B given his improvements, or whether to remain with the first team on a permanent basis. This option should not be underestimated, since the South American could perfectly fill the box of deputy Lazaro: in fact, several times the coach has said that there is no player with the Austrian’s characteristics in the squad. Silva seems to be the ideal replacement.
