“All’esordio ero un po’ nervoso”
After many drawn-out schedules, a couple of operations, and a very long road to recovery, it is finally less and less until Perr Schuurs returns to the field. The former Ajax defender, out of action since October 2023, sees the light at the end of the tunnel and is starting to prepare himself to be at his best for the start of next season. No hurry of course, also because there are now two full months ahead of him to gradually resume training. It will obviously not be easy to get back to past levels after being idle for a year and a half, and in this sense the watchword is calm: Schuurs may yes be considered a true newcomer, but at the same time he needs everything but to be filled with pressure. The 25-year-old, as is only right, will need time to return to his best.

Un momento speciale che Njie ricorda con entusiasmo: “Quando sono entrato in campo, Ciammaglichella mi ha detto: ‘Al 100% fai tu gol oggi’. Mi ha caricato di adrenalina, mi sono sentito di potercela fare. Infatti poi ho segnato, e ne ero veramente felice, sono andato a festeggiare sotto la Maratona ovviamente”. Un gol cercato, voluto, sognato. E arrivato grazie anche a un compagno di squadra che ha saputo toccare le corde giuste. Ora Njie guarda avanti con la stessa serenità di sempre, ma con la consapevolezza di aver vissuto il suo primo, vero, momento magico in granata.
