Milan’s positive moment continues from a results perspective. Four victories in the last five matches for Sergio Conceicao’s team, which also managed to impose itself on Patrick Vieira’s Genoa yesterday at the Luigi Ferraris. It was a match very similar to many others this season: down by one goal, Milan managed to overturn one way or another, by hook or by crook, thanks to the quality of its individuals. To get to the equalizer, Conceicao even reverted to a four-man defense during the course of the match, clear evidence that the system of play matters but only up to a point.
The Genoa victory has no importance whatsoever for the Serie A standings (Milan is still ninth); it does, however, for confidence and continuity ahead of the Coppa Italia final, the most important match of this year-end. Unfortunately, the trip to Liguria was marred by a very bad episode that happened to the Rossoneri fans on the way home.

As reported by Carlos Passerini, a reporter for Corriere della Sera, on the way from the stadium to the highway toll booth, a group of Genoa ultras tried to assault the coaches of Milan fans. Fortunately, thanks to the intervention of the police, nothing happened and there was no contact. More importantly, there were no injuries.

Genoa fans yesterday put on their usual great show at Marassi: usual chilling atmosphere of one of the hottest corners in the Italian league (made even more fascinating by the English structure of the stadium). After the match, however, this very bad episode that will surely affect only a small part of the Rossoblu supporters. An episode to forget condemn: it was possible to avoid the tragedy only thanks to the intervention of the police.
Speaking of fan clashes, it was a tragic weekend for the death of an Atalanta supporter: in Bergamo, following a brawl between Atalanta and Inter fans, a young man only 26 years old lost his life due to a stab wound. A real and unexplained drama.
