Svilar-Roma, negotiations to the bitter end: agents demand €40 million clause

Roma and Mile Svilar continue to work on the contract renewal of the goalkeeper, who is increasingly central to the Giallorossi’s project. The parties have come significantly closer in recent weeks: the club’s new offer, according to Il Messaggero reports, could rise to 3 million euros net plus bonuses. A figure that comes close to the request of the Serbian’s entourage, which aims at 4 million.

The knot, however, concerns another aspect: the inclusion of a rescission clause. Svilar’s agents, in fact, are pushing to set it at 40 million euros. An important figure, but one that would guarantee the player a clear way out in case of offers from top European clubs.

Despite the pressure from big names such as Chelsea, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Newcastle, Mile’s intention remains to stay in the capital and continue his journey as a starter with Roma. It is now up to the club to find the right formula to secure him.
