Ieri il trequartista ha compiuto 19 anni: non poteva sperare in un compleanno migliore. Vanoli: “Se l’è meritato”
It’s a safe bet that on his 19th birthday Sergiu Perciun will remember it for the rest of his life. There could not have been a better way to make his celebratory debut than to make his Serie A debut. But his was not a mere catwalk, he entered with a quarter of an hour to go with the score still in the balance at 1-0: however, Paolo Vanoli was not afraid to throw him into the fray and he was right because in the end the gift, to teammates and fans, was given by Perciun himself by crossing into the opponent’s penalty area the ball that then ended up on Ali Dembélé’s left foot for the final 2-0.
Perciun: “Spero di avere altre possibilità”
“It was great to make my debut right on my birthday, I want to thank the club, my parents and all the people who believed in me. I hope to have many more chances,” Perciun himself later commented at the end of the game with a smile on his face. “To play in Serie A again and to continue doing what I am doing is my goal for this final season,” he added. And if he is good at confirming himself, a few more chances Vanoli might decide to give him. “I have not given Perciun anything, if he is good he will have other opportunities. Now he has to enjoy this moment,” indeed explained the coach.
Vanoli lo segue dal ritiro
Given the lack of alternative on the three-quarter, with Njie and Salama having already finished the season and Lazaro and Vlasic not at their best, a few more chances for Perciun might come. Vanoli was very impressed with his qualities in the summer retreat in Pinzolo and has not stopped keeping an eye on him in recent months.
