Mourning in the Garnet world: Beniamino Cancian passed away.

Così il predente Cairo ha commentato la vittoria sull’Udinese nella sfida della giornata numero 33 del campionato. Poi su Buongiorno…

The granata world mourns Beniamino Cancian, who died at the age of 89 last March: a granata defender for four seasons-where he collected about 60 appearances-he was also Torino’s coach, first as Giancarlo Cadè’s deputy and then winning the 1970-71 Coppa Italia, guiding the granata to victory in the final at Marassi against AC Milan (5-3 on penalties, with all goals scored from the penalty spot by Sergio Maddè). He also played with the jerseys of Venezia and Mantova, while his coaching career took place between the C1 and C2 series, with the exception of the 1975-76 season where, in the top division, he made a very young Paolo Rossi make his debut with the Lariani jersey.

“Adams? Quel gol non era facile…”

Questo è il dialogo tra l’arbitro Mercenaro e i colleghi al Var, Aureliano e Guida:

Urbano Cairo, chairman of Torino FC, gestures prior to the Serie A football match between Torino FC and Empoli FC.
