“Yes, this was the decisive and very important game also for us because mathematically we were not safe. We have to continue to grow in mentality, I think tactically we have shown all season that we are a strong team both offensively and defensively even if we were missing that little piece, however this is given to you by experience and maturity in the category little by little. Let’s not forget that we are playing with so many young players and that they are coming from Serie B. I have believed in them from the beginning because I know them and I see that they are growing and that is exactly why I talk about growth and continuing to work on this. Now the results are paying off for all the work we are doing.”
On Goldaniga, how much does it repay you to see a completely different player than we were used to seeing in the past?
“I don’t want to talk so much about that because I had never worked with him before and so many coaches who came to Mozzate and worked with him had talked to me about that. He, from day one, from the time he arrived with us has been a real leader. In Serie B he has grown the team so much and given maturity and personality. He has been here for a year and a half and has done really well, I know I can trust him because he is a boy as well as a good player.”
