Could Lazio’s elimination against Bodo affect their Serie A form?
Lazio’s elimination, especially in the way it occurred, was truly a heavy blow. There was a comeback, then overtaking, hope, joy… and finally, a nightmare. An emotional rollercoaster culminating in a penalty shootout—one of the worst I remember in terms of technical execution. Losing in that manner can certainly have lingering effects, especially mentally. Physically, not so much—even though Tavares got injured—as today teams have resources to recover effectively. But psychologically, it was a heavy blow, and it may indeed affect their league performance.
Does Inter have the physical and technical strength to achieve the treble?
I think so. Inter has everything necessary to pursue winning everything. It’s a team with physical strength, quality, and a deep roster. However, the moment will come when they must distance themselves from Napoli, a tough side with an easier schedule, though still dangerous. If Inter manages to win away against Bologna, they will send a strong signal to the league; it could be a pivotal turning point in the title race.
Is Milan-Atalanta Milan’s last call for Europe? Could Atalanta be drawn into the chasing pack if they lose?
Yes, it’s truly make-or-break for Milan. If they fail to secure a result, they seriously risk falling further behind and losing the chance to rejoin the race, given the fierce competition. They must get full points against Atalanta. On the other side, if Atalanta loses, they could indeed be drawn back into the pack, but it’s important to mention they still have a slight margin of safety. They’ve lost some matches at home, that’s true, but they’re still ahead. Even a draw today, combined with possibly a win next match, would help them maintain their position. It’s the others who must chase, and among these, I include Roma, who tonight against Verona have a chance to re-enter the battle for fourth place. Roma cannot afford to let up, especially considering their upcoming match against Inter in Milan, which will be decisive for their ambitions.
