Ritorno inaspettato per Sanabria per l’assenza di Vlasic: chance dal 1’ dopo due mesi, ma niente svolta a Como. Il duo con Adams delude Vanoli
A starter after almost two months, Antonio Sanabria against Como made a surprise return to the field from the first minute due to the injury of Vlasic, who was forced to watch the game from the stands. The last time the Paraguayan center forward played a full game was at the “Grande Torino” against AC Milan last February 22. From there on he has only had at his disposal a few scraps of matches.
Il ritorno amaro di Sanabria
Yesterday was the exception. A heavy absence for Paolo Vanoli, that of the Croatian trequartista, put him in front of an important (almost forced) choice: to decide on his replacement. The coach therefore opted for Sanabria, reintroducing him again as a pair with Adams after svariato time, but to no avail. The pair’s performance was anything but positive, and the trust placed in them by the Grenadian coach did not produce the desired results. The chemistry between the two appeared tarnished, with few quality plays and little incisiveness in the goal area. The two had not played an entire match together since the first leg against Monza, with Genoa (also in the first leg) instead was the last time they both started as starters.
I dubbi di Vanoli
A disappointing performance from Sanabria, who is desperately looking for a goal that he has not found even during this match. A goal that has not come in a good six months, specifically from the first leg match against Cagliari last October 20. All this fuels doubts about Toro’s future offensive set-up ahead of the season finale. With Vlasic still to be evaluated and an attack struggling to find continuity, Vanoli will have to think about his next moves.
