Coming directly from the Larian club is the announcement of the launch of Connect Me Too, an innovative audiodescription service designed to ensure that fans with visual impairments can experience all the excitement and highlights of the Larians’ matches at Sinigaglia Stadium.
Developed in partnership with Connect Me Too, this inclusive initiative is part of a larger project aimed at making sporting events more accessible to all. Thanks to this service, blind and visually impaired fans can now follow every moment of the game through real-time audio commentary broadcast directly to their smartphones.
The hyper-descriptive match report, curated by a professional audio descriptor, offers a vivid and detailed narrative of the match, brought to life by an expressive voice and enhanced by high-definition sound. From the roar of the crowd to the rhythm of the choruses and the energy pulsating in the stands, this immersive audio experience takes fans into the heart of the action – turning each match into a powerful sensory journey.
Accessing the service is simple: fans using their smartphones, access the Connect Me Too app and listen to the audio description. The service is completely free and available during all Como 1907 home matches.
“We deeply thank you for the interesting and exciting initiative we experienced at the Sinigaglia Stadium on the occasion of Como-Venice, thanks to the opportunity you gave us and thanks to the use of the new Connect Me Too app, which turns out to be a really good tool. A heartfelt thanks to all of Como 1907 for the sensitivity shown,” commented Daniele Riboldi, Member of the Unione Italiana Ciechi e Ipovedenti Como.
“The landing of Connect Me Too at the Sinigaglia for Como-Venezia represents a significant step for Como, which chooses to embrace accessibility and inclusion as part of its identity. Offering blind and visually impaired fans the opportunity to experience soccer authentically is a sign of openness and sensitivity that enhances the stadium experience. Soccer is passion, emotion and belonging, and with Connect Me Too no one is left behind,” explained Tony D’Angelo, Executive Project Manager of Connect Me Too for CMT Translations.
Francesco Terrazzani, CEO of Como 1907, commented, “With the introduction of this service, Como 1907 wants to strengthen its commitment to the community, allowing all fans, without distinction, to experience the emotions of the game in a complete and inclusive way. We are very happy to be able to offer this unique experience to our fans with visual impairments, for a more inclusive soccer so that every fan can feel, get excited and experience the passion of soccer without barriers!”
