Former Juventus center forward Stefano Okaka Chuka, currently unemployed, spoke to the microphones of TMW colleagues for an interview. Here is an excerpt with some of his most interesting statements.
UDINESE – “I always follow the bianconeri with affection. Udinese represents a part of my career where I came of age. I understood what it means to raise the level in relationships, as I was one of the leaders in a team where there were players like Behrami and De Paul. I also had the opportunity to have an intense, daily relationship with Giampaolo Pozzo. I had arrived at a disastrous time, with an endless series of consecutive defeats, we were practically relegated. But we got to work and slowly rebuilt and saved ourselves. If today the best Udinese is back, some credit is also ours that we saved ourselves that season.”
LUCCA – “I like Lorenzo, he is strong. He has ample room for improvement. Udinese is one of the best teams in the world in selling players. I wish Lucca the best and wish him one day to play in an even stronger team.”
CONTE AND TUDOR – “Conte I had him in the national team: they say he is tough, but I saw him mostly determined, for sure, but he is a person who pushes you to give your all for him and for the team. When you get into that context there you are willing to do everything for him. Coach Tudor, who I had in Udine, is not too hard either, more determined and direct I would say. Conte is already at world level and making history, I also wish coach Tudor well at Juventus.”
TUDOR RIGHT TECHNICIAN FOR JUVENTUS? – “Yes, missing eight games, there was no better profile at this time. He has already played there, coached with Pirlo, he will give everything until the last minute because he is playing a big piece of his career at a big club. Surely he will know how to take advantage of this opportunity, the Bianconeri have made the right choice.”
