Dall’Ara restyling: where do we stand with the project

In recent days Joey Saputo has also returned to talk about the Dall’Ara stadium restyling project. But concretely, where are we at? Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport tries to shed some light, explaining how the project does not yet see the light of day, also because “renovating a ‘monument’ is more onerous than building a new facility.”

In fact, due to international conjunctures, costs have risen to 220 million, 40 million of which are covered by the City of Bologna and 70-80 by Saputo. Therefore, a hundred million remains at stake: according to the newspaper, a share will be guaranteed by private financing, although “the Rossoblù club expects that the State will also make its contribution, as part of the interventions for the European Championships 2032.” We’ll see if that happens…
