Theo Hernandez and Rafa Leao are Milan’s most talented players. Let’s restart from them, as well as from Reijnders and Pulisic: here’s why

Milan’s season is a real failure, a total disaster, and yesterday put an end to the race for fourth place. The math, of course, still does not condemn the Rossoneri, but Champions League qualification is nine points away and the teams in front are just too many.
It is over, a throw-away year where nothing and no one is saved. A horrible year where the great creators will not pay. Yes, because, Milan will start again from Giorgio Furlani, Geoffrey Moncada and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Thus, the one who will pay will be the coach, once again, chosen by them, and clearly some players.
The hope is that this time they have really learned from their mistakes. The decision on the coach will already make us understand everything: a new bet would not be acceptable. We need the best on the square to start again, as De Laurentiis did, who after a disastrous year decided to take Antonio Conte.
Nothing could be simpler. And Napoli is now there fighting for the Scudetto with a decidedly weaker staff than that of Milan. This is to say, that with the right man in charge those players who are pointed at as Milan’s evil by many would be reborn, becoming once again the strengths of the Diavolo.

Inevitably so the magnifying glass is placed on Rafa Leao. The Portuguese – once again – started from the bench. Conceicao explained, that regardless of the physical problems suffered, the idea was to leave him out.
Keeping out the best player on the roster to make room for Joao Felix is a truly senseless choice and not the first time it has happened. Even yesterday in this way the Portuguese showed that without him, Milan is little stuff. Yesterday, Milan without Leao practically did not exist.
He was not on his best night because of physical problems, but his presence on the field led Napoli to drop back and render inoperative the side that had hurt the Diavolo most in the first half. Di Lorenzo and Politano had to think about defending more than attacking. Thus everything good that was done yesterday came from the left.
Everyone blamed Theo Hernandez for the goal, but in the second half the Frenchman with Leao on the field galloped back on the flank. He thus provided the assist for Jovic’s goal and earned the penalty. What long has been considered the best left-wing pair in the world, mistreated and criticized by all, put Napoli in trouble, then nothing.
The Frenchman and the Portuguese created difficulties for Napoli with their classic plays. Plays that have been codified for years because there is nothing new and it is certainly not their fault. To think of depriving ourselves of the best players on the roster is madness. It needs, instead, who can make them perform at their best. It needs those who can make them comfortable both on the field and mentally. Let’s go against the tide and start again with talent, start again with Rafa Leao and Theo Hernandez. Selling them, at the worst time of their careers, at the moment when their value has plummeted, would mean losing again and inevitably making the team worse.
