Alejandro Garnacho was perhaps the catchphrase of the winter soccer market session. In fact, everyone remembers him and it could not be otherwise. However, the Argentine’s star in Manchester has slowly faded. The 2004 class actually foundered along with the team and in the Red Devils’ difficulties he failed to emerge. And so Amorim has increasingly reduced his minutes on the field, turning him into little more than an extra.

And so he has thus far accumulated four goals in his 28 Premier League appearances to which must be added three League Cup centers (with three assists) in three games and a Europa League goal in 10 appearances. Numbers in line with the fluctuating performances of the player who could see his future change completely in the summer.

In January, as we have explained, it was Manchester United that did not want to deprive itself of Garnacho, convinced also by the fans who even on social media expressed negative opinion toward his transfer. In the summer, however, the situation is poised to take a completely different turn.

The news comes straight from Spain: in the summer session United will start a real revolution with massive purchases in the market in every role to give Amorim a team in his image. And in Manchester’s future there seems to be no place for Garnacho.
The Argentine outfielder is expendable and even the Red Devils would have put him on the disposal list to realize a capital gain. Warning to interesting clubs, then: the cost is a whopping 60 million euros. A figure that has certainly not deterred clubs that have been following him for some time, despite the lack of continuity in performance.
Napoli continues to monitor his growth and could return to the charge – at Antonio Conte’s input – in the summer and sign the six-month-old player. Also on his trail, however, are Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid, not to mention Chelsea. Then again, we are talking about a footballer who is only 21 years old.
